Emergency callout·Yorkshire & the Lake District

Out-of-hours emergency callout.

For genuine emergencies when waiting until morning is not an option — WiFi, networks, CCTV, Starlink and fibre. If your business cannot trade, your premises are unmonitored or an event is about to go ahead without connectivity, send an emergency enquiry or message us on WhatsApp and we'll get moving.

WHY IT COSTS WHAT IT DOES

An out-of-hours callout means one of our engineers dropping everything and heading out at night — so the rate reflects that. It's set to be fair for a genuine emergency where waiting until morning isn't an option, while gently steering anything that can wait to our standard daytime service.

/ When to call us

The kind of emergencies we mean.

Not a rulebook — a sense of the threshold. If what has happened feels like it belongs on this list, it probably does.

Business internet or network completely down

Tills, card machines, phones and bookings all stop at once. Trade is at a standstill and every hour closed is money gone.

CCTV system failed

Cameras, recorder or the link feeding them has dropped, and the premises are left unmonitored overnight.

Total WiFi outage at a business or event

Not a slow corner or one dead room — nothing is connecting anywhere, and people on site are waiting on it.

Critical connectivity failure before or during a time-sensitive event

A wedding, a conference, a match day, a launch. It has to work tonight or tomorrow morning, and there is no second chance at it.

If it can wait until the morning, it will cost you less to book it as a normal job — and we would rather tell you that up front than charge you for finding it out.

/ What to expect

How an emergency callout runs.

  1. STEP 01

    We triage before we travel

A few questions first — what failed, when, and what changed just before. Some faults we can talk you through in ten minutes, and that costs you nothing.

  2. STEP 02

We attend and diagnose on site

We arrive with the kit the symptoms point to, find the actual fault rather than guessing at it, and restore what can be restored on the night.

  3. STEP 03

You get a straight account of it

What failed, what we did, and what still needs doing — including where the fault sits with someone else and what to ask them for.

The callout fee applies once we attend.

Some faults can only be diagnosed on site — and often the diagnosis is the work. If we get there and find the fault sits with your ISP, your landlord's infrastructure or a third-party system we can't lawfully touch, the callout still applies, because our time and the journey are the same either way. You'll get a clear account of what we found and what needs to happen next, so you're not starting from nothing in the morning. This is why we ask you to be sure it's a genuine emergency before you get in touch.

/ Emergency rates

What an out-of-hours callout costs.

Fixed, and stated up front — not a starting point to be revised on the doorstep. Both figures exclude VAT.

Out-of-hours

£249.99

Charged once we attend, whatever we find on arrival.

On-site labour

£90

Charged from arrival, for time on site. It stops when we do.

Out-of-hours means outside Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 — evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Any hardware needed is quoted separately, and for sites a long way out we'll confirm travel with you before we set off, so nothing lands on the invoice that you haven't already heard about.

/ Questions

Before you get in touch.

What counts as an out-of-hours emergency?+

Something is down that cannot wait until morning without real cost — a business unable to trade, premises left unmonitored because the CCTV has failed, a total WiFi outage with people on site depending on it, or a connectivity failure right before a time-sensitive event. A single dead zone, a slow speed test or a device that will not join are ordinary faults: those are cheaper and better handled as a normal booking.

Will I still be charged if you can't fix it on the night?+

Yes. The callout fee applies once we attend, whatever we find. Some faults can only be diagnosed on site, and parts occasionally have to be ordered, but the attendance, the diagnosis and the journey have all happened either way. You will not be charged for work we have not done — the hourly rate covers time on site, and it stops when we do.

What if the fault turns out to be with my ISP?+

It happens, and it is one of the most common outcomes of an emergency callout. We will identify it, show you the evidence, and tell you exactly what to report so your provider cannot bounce you back round the loop. The callout still applies, because our time and the journey were the same as they would have been for a fault on your own equipment.

When do out-of-hours rates apply?+

Our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. Anything outside that — evenings, weekends and bank holidays — is an out-of-hours callout and is charged at the rates on this page.

What is the fastest way to reach you in an emergency?+

Message us on WhatsApp — it reaches a phone rather than an inbox, and you can send photos of the kit and the lights on it straight away. The emergency form on this page works too. Our landline is for daytime enquiries and closes outside working hours, so for a genuine out-of-hours emergency, WhatsApp or the form will always reach us fastest.

NOT AN EMERGENCY?

If it can wait until morning, the standard enquiry form is the cheaper route — normal rates, and we'll call you back within the working day.

This is a paid out-of-hours callout — £249.99 + VAT, plus £90 + VAT per hour on site. Sending this tells us it's an emergency; the callout fee applies once we attend, whatever we find.

By submitting you agree to be contacted about this callout. We never share your details.

You'll get a confirmation email shortly. If it can't wait, message us on WhatsApp.
